MINUTES: Saturday,
November 18, 2006

of Christ Professional Teachers’ Association
11:00 a.m. at Home Town Buffet
members present: Cindy
Frerking, Pat Heady-Winholtz, Sandra Hunt, Norma Elgan, John
Parrish, Norman Ruoff, Charlotte Ruoff. Members absent: Cheron
Tiffany and Carol Anderson.
The minutes of the October 7, 2006 meeting were read by Pat
Heady-Winholtz. They were approved as read with a change in the
time for the 2007 Dinner Meeting to 5:30-7:00 PM because of the
legislative session going until 5:30 PM that day.
Norman Ruoff provided the Treasurer’s report indicating a
balance of $529.15 in the regular checking account and $2,123.85
in the money market account from Life Membership dues on an
original $1,920 (reporting an increase of $203.85)
The web page was reviewed and changes noted. Changes were
forwarded to the web master.
Sandra will print more brochures and paper scholarship
applications to hand out at International Conference 2007. Norma
will make a t poster for display.
The dinner meeting during Conference will be on Tuesday,
March 27 from 5:30-7:00 PM at Hometown Buffet in Independence at
40-Highway and Noland Road.
Norma will do the newsletter to go out in January. Cindy
provided a President’s article and an article by Emily Marolf,
our 2004 scholarship recipient. Sandy will send Norma an article
on scholarships, Norman on dues and membership donations and
Charlotte an article on friends United. Norma will do an article
on our 2006 scholarship recipient—John Albert King of Oklahoma.
John Parrish had made up a form simply for donations to the
scholarship fund and we will probably use it at conference time
if people don’t want to be come a member but would like to make
a donation. The subject of going on a “Educators Cruise” came up
and Norman said his daughter (who is in the business) could make
some preliminary quotes for such a cruise. We could put
something in the newsletter to see if there is any interest in
this from our current members.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:15 PM.
