Members present:  Charlotte Ruoff, Norman Ruoff, Cheron Tiffany, Cindy Frerking, Norma Elgin, John Dorsey, Sandi Hunt

1.  The minutes of the October, 2005 Board meeting were not read, as they are missing.  If someone has them, please forward to Cheron Tiffany.

2.  Cheron Tiffany will type up the minutes of the General Meeting from June, 2005 and e-mail them to board members.

3.  Treasurer’s and Membership Reports from Norman

1. a.  A membership list was passed out.  Only 17 envelopes were returned from the last mailing

2.  e-mail addresses will soon be available

3. he balance in the checking account is $519.15.  $80 will be transferred in May or June from the interest-bearing account containing the funds from life-time memberships

4. $2051.96 is in the investment account.  $1920 was invested from life-time dues and $130 interest has been earned to date.  This is enough to pay for the yearly contribution to general funds.

4.  A scholarship contribution was made my John Dorsey and Warren and Barbara Gose.

5.  The cost of the last newsletter was paid for by Cindy Frerking.

1.  this year’s committee will consist of Sandi Hunt (chair), John Dorsey and Norma Elgin

2. they will meet on May 18 at 11:30 a.m. at Hometown Buffet

3. Cindy sent announcements to the following Mission Centers:  New England, Midlands, Iowa, and Central

4. the application form was discussed and changes were made including new deadline (May 1, 2006), gender discrimination, age discrimination, removal of social security number, etc.

5. Changes will be sent to Blake West to update on-line

6. applications will be available on-line

            a.  Newsletter

1. Norman suggested mailing one every four months to get forwarding services

2. We get a 10% response from mailings

3. the next newsletter will be via e-mail

4. a suggestion was made that in the next newsletter we have a “donation in the memory of” section
